The motion of object along a two directions has been analyzed in 2D kinematics. An object fired into the air moves in a vertical as well as horizontal directions. Such motion occurs in a two‐dimensional plane. The horizontal motion in a plane over the earth’s surface is also a two‐dimensional motion. The position vector of a particle in 2D is given by \(\vec{r} = \vec{r}\{x(t),y(t)\}\text{.}\)
